What is it?
We’ve all been so absorbed in thoughts (while reading a book or riding in a car) that we don’t realize what’s happening around us. While absorbed in this other level of consciousness, our unconscious mind takes control.

Myths about hypnotherapy
As previously mentioned, although one is more open to suggestions during hypnosis, one does not lose control over one’s behavior. The patient is always in control. No one does anything against his will because our unconscious mind protects us!
Another myth about hypnosis is that during the session people lose consciousness and have amnesia. This is untrue. Most people enter a deep state of relaxation where they are able to remember everything that occurs during the session.
